I’m Brandi

I AM A BLOOD DISORDER EDUCATOR, SPEAKER, PODCAST HOST, and WRITER WHO TALKS ABOUT SURVIVING CHRONIC ILLNESSES.

At the beginning of my diagnosis, I did not know where it would take me. I was solely focused on my own health. My one-track mind was geared towards survival. Beginning at 19 years old and throughout the years, I found the blessing in disguise.

My main focus is to spread awareness of blood disorders and aid as a motivational speaker to inspire others to go after their dreams, no matter what.

hello, there!

HOW IT ALL STARTED...

Imagine being two weeks into your sophomore year of college when your life turns from your education being the first priority to your health. This was my life!

I was diagnosed with two rare blood disorders, aplastic anemia and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), and have gone through many ups and downs.

At one moment, I asked God, “Why me?” One day, while sitting in the transfusion room receiving a blood transfusion, a lady walked up to me. She said, “God is going to use you and your illnesses to be a testimony for many others.”

LET'S SPREAD AWARENESS TO THE WORLD ONE PERSON AT A TIME.

That was my turning point. As I battled my illness, I learned the art of survival, grace, hope, determination, and faith. I spent many years battling my disorders and now I am able to share my experiences and life lessons with the world.

I believe everyone has a testimony as we have all experienced life trials. For me, I have chosen to use my experience to inspire others to have grit in the face of hard times.

Experiences

My experiences have given me a platform to share my message with the world. Many experiences have also opened the door for me to live life to the fullest by living in the moment.

Time

When you fight for your life, time becomes more important. I have learned to spend my time doing things I enjoy and spending it with people I love. I am not perfect but I put in the work to find what matters to me.
